Chris Vos won a medal on the seventh day of the Paralympic Games. The para-snowboarder from Noordbeemster grabbed the silver in the banked slalom.
In Beijing Vos already set a good time during the first run. He was only 0.16 seconds slower than China’s Zhongwei Wu. In the second run Vos improved by two hundredths, but the Chinese did excellent business in his second run by taking more than a second off his time. As a result, the gold went to Wu and the silver to Vos.
For Vos it is his second medal at the Paralympic Games. During the previous edition in Pyeongchang he took silver in the snowboard cross. In 2018, he finished fourth in the banked slalom.
