According to the Dutch police, Silvana Heber did not show up for an appointment with relatives on Saturday morning, after which they raised the alarm. Based on their statements, the police launched an investigation in Heber’s home in Hoogeloon and in the surrounding area. Police dogs and a helicopter were also deployed. Heber’s car was seized for the investigation and via Burgernet, a telephone communication system, attention was drawn to her missing on Saturday afternoon.
Only contact with lawyer
The 41-year-old suspect also comes from Hoogeloon and lived with Heber. The man has been interrogated extensively. However, so far this has not led to a breakthrough, the police report. The man remains detained by order of the Dutch public prosecutor’s office and has been subject to restrictions: he is only allowed to have contact with his lawyer.
The police searched for the woman in large numbers yesterday. The Veteran Search Team was also on site with fifteen volunteers. The search took place in the vicinity of the Koebosakkers, Hoogcasteren and the Kleine Aa. The police are also conducting an extensive neighborhood investigation and are looking for CCTV footage from the area. The search for the woman continues today, according to Dutch media.
Silvana Heber is about 1.60 meters and has a normal build. She often wears her reddish, medium-length hair in a ponytail. On the day of her disappearance, she was likely wearing a black mid-length coat and may have been carrying a brown handbag.
