Silent journey for Manon (27) who died in Colombia: ‘Everyone take one flower’ | Inland

Manon van de Zande, who died in a fatal shooting on Wednesday in Colombia, will be commemorated next Tuesday during a silent tour, which departs at 8 p.m. from Timmer shopping center in Lienden.

‘The most beautiful flower is picked first’, is the text line on a Facebook message shared by Anouk van de Zande, Manon’s sister. Below that, a call is made to people who want to join the silent march. ‘Everyone take one flower to commemorate Manon’.

27-year-old Manon van de Zande from Eck en Wiel was sitting at a table in a restaurant in the town of Leticia on Wednesday when two men entered and opened fire. The woman was hit by a stray bullet and later died in hospital from her injuries.

The target of the shooting in Colombia in which the Betuwe died was a Brazilian drug trafficker.
