The champion skier’s family already had a dog and soon a baby will arrive. During the summer, the man completed his trotting instructor’s card and changed managers.
Iivo Niskanen30, there have been changes in life over the last few months – and the most significant is yet to come.
From early autumn, Niskanen said that his spouse Get it waiting for the firstborn of the family.
– Of course, the waiting time is long. Expected and great thing. A really big deal. It has always been a dream, says Niskanen.
Last winter big sister Kerttu Niskanen told Iltalehti’s story that his brother will be a good father. At that time, it was not yet known that Saana and Iivo Niskasella would marry.
– No one is born a blacksmith, but one has to grow into that role. I’m looking forward to it, says Niskanen.
In the spring and winter, Niskaste’s food group grew with a four-legged friend.
– It’s going well and things are going well. There have been poodles before. A docile breed, so you have to take advantage of the time window.
Miniature Poodle Timo is black in color.
– When it’s been a fairly short time since the previous guy, you know which things you should do training work with in the puppy phase.
Iivo’s previous muzzle Apo passed from time to eternity at the end of 2020.
Miniature poodles have been successful when international studies have been conducted on the intelligence of different dog breeds.
– Usually in medal positions, Niskanen laughs.

Last spring, the champion skier passed the trotting instructor’s card.
– It has been a dream since childhood. Vieremä is a horse keeper. Relatives and nearby areas have always had horses and I have lived next to a race track.
After the 2018 Olympic Games, the Horse Breeding Association of Pohjois-Savo gave Niskanen an instructor’s course as a gift.
– Four years passed and the matter came up again. There happened to be a course in Kuopio in the spring and it was an ideal window of time for me to complete it.
Niskanen, who owns or co-owns four different horses, says that the trainer training took about a dozen afternoons in the spring.
He has driven in four starts without significant success.
Hjallis aside
A significant change since last season is the change of manager. Hjallis Harkimon it was replaced by someone less well-known in sports circles Miro Rousku.
Niskanen got to know Rousku eight years ago, when he started working with Red Bull.
– I had a good conversation with a friend, and from that point of view, I have been interested in that field. It’s a big relief to now have a guy working full-time on it.
The skier feels that everyday life is not very different from before, although the changes of the last few months seem significant.
– There are no major changes in terms of time management. There are so few raves and if you think about everyday life with a dog, we were without a dog for just over a year, estimates Niskanen, who was at the press conference of the Finnish Ski Association on Wednesday.
