Eric Oelschlägel (26) will remain in the Eredivisie at FC Utrecht after his working paper has expired. League competitor FC Emmen has given the German goalkeeper a contract until 2024 with an option for a further year. Born in Saxony, he moved from Borussia Dortmund to Utrecht on a free transfer in 2020, where he was a regular in his first season, but only played the role of substitute last season.
“In Eric we are getting an excellent goalkeeper for the coming seasons. He has already proven himself in the Netherlands and Germany and is only 26 years old. We hope that he will also show himself positively with us in order to further develop the club and himself,” commented Ronald Lubbers, CEO, on the commitment.
