He Grupo Perfil, together with the Salvador’s universitystart a new edition of Postgraduate in Investigative Journalism. This is a unique professional experience of its kind, which allows Journalism students to focus on the world of a multiplatform newsroomwith classes taught by Perfil journalists, editors and producers of graphic, digital and audiovisual media.
For a year, virtual classes are held, allowing attendance from different parts of the country, along with an intensive program of academic seminars and training workshops in politics, economics, international affairs, culture, general information and sports, among others. In addition to an offer specially designed on digital, television and radio journalism techniques.
The Postgraduate Profile-USAL also has an extensive program of professional internships, in which students work in the different Perfil media to acquire professional experience in the full exercise of journalistic work and with the support of tutors designated for this task.
Once the course is finished, the opportunity to carry out a research scholarship for the best graduates. Additionally, during the course, each student carries out a journalistic investigation that has the possibility of being published in some Profile media.
The objective of this journalistic and academic program seeks to introduce students to the true professional world of mass media. At the moment, More than 80% of graduates work in various media or communication-related companies.
In turn, there is available a Scholarship Fundfinanced by the following companies that are committed to training new journalists: Pan American Energy, Grupo Insud, Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes, Grupo Arcor and Banco Galicia.
The full title registered by USAL is “Postgraduate Extension Course in Investigative Journalism” and graduates receive a joint certification (Profile-USAL) within the framework of the extension program regulations of the University of Salvador and the Ministry of Education of the Nation.
