A 14-hour bidding war flushed almost 1.5 million euros into the till.

That’s how much the sale of Siegfried & Roy’s belongings at the Bonhams Los Angeles auction brought in.

The German star magicians Siegfried Fischbacher (†81) and Roy Horn (†75), who had a world career in the USA, had in their will ordered furniture, pictures, porcelain, souvenirs and jewelry from their villas “Little Bavaria” and Jungle Palace up for auction in Las Vegas. In favor of her foundation “Sarmoti”.

Her guest book (US$14,025), an elephant sculpture by Salvador Dali (US$15,300) and a French turtle-shaped grandfather clock (US$21,675) all sold for top prices.

The auction is a great pain for the von Fischbacher family in Rosenheim.

Niece Jennifer to BILD: “I didn’t follow her. It hurts that so many memorabilia are gone. I hope they at least went to fans.”
