After 3 years of absence, due to the pandemic, the essential Summer Edition LesBigBoss was back in person from May 20 to 21, 2022 in Greece. This 2022 edition was mainly centered on Web3. The opportunity for the hundreds of decision-makers and partners present to fill up on fruitful encounters. It was also an opportunity for Siècle Digital to produce a series of dedicated podcasts, around the themes of Web3, digital transformation, omnichannel and e-commerce.
Hervé Bloch, co-founder of LesBigBoss
Among the 700 decision-makers and digital marketing players gathered for this 2022 edition, Siècle Digital was able to first meet Hervé Bloch, co-founder and CEO of LesBigBoss. The BigBoss Boss took the opportunity to explain how the company had to innovate to get through the Covid-19 crisis and why this 15th opus, the first face-to-face for 3 years, is about Web3. This edition also took on a social commitment through support for the association Everyone Against Cancer. Hervé Bloch was in any case delighted with this return to face-to-face:
Clément Foucher, co-founder of Métav.rs
This Summer Edition was an opportunity to address the essential theme of the metaverse. Flagship element of Web3, the metaverse had a young representative at this annual event: Clément Foucher, co-founder of Métav.rs. Despite all the ink about metaverses and NFTs, many questions remain. Are these technologies mature enough for companies to get serious about them? What are the uses for a brand of using NFTs or buying land in a metaverse?
All these questions, Siècle Digital asked Clément Foucher. Optimistic about the usefulness of Web3, he is nonetheless realistic about the path that remains to be traveled for its democratization, even admitting that certain companies, according to their targets, should not embark on the metaverse at all :
Valérie Dassier, Deputy General Manager at IKKS
Since the announcement of the change of name of the Facebook group to Meta, many companies are immersing themselves in metaverses, often by buying land, like Carrefour. A trend that affects certain sectors more than others, such as fashion. For the ready-to-wear brand IKKS, there is no question of taking this step yet. Valérie Dassier, Deputy General Manager at IKKS, the Web3 and the metaverse, affirms that it is all the same the future standard.
A group of investment funds offers Zendesk for 10.2 billion dollars
On the side of IKKS, it is therefore agitated behind the scenes. The one who has already made several immersions in the metaverse and the NFTs plans to set up a team dedicated to Web3 in the coming months, in order to fully invest in the metaverses in the years to come:
François Xavier Le Gal, Managing Director of Mr Suricate
Talking about Web3, digital and digital marketing also means talking about the bugs associated with it. Bugs that often seem complex, as are the solutions to solve them. However, simple and accessible solutions exist today, thanks to no-code in particular.
At this 15th opus was precisely, as a premium partner, Mr Suricate, a company specializing in bug management. Its Managing Director, François Xavier Le Gal, was at the microphone of Siècle Digital. An interview that addressed the large number of bugs, how to anticipate them and above all, how to solve them easily:
Luca Gerini, Managing Director of Interflora Spain, Portugal and Italy
In the huge holiday village reserved for the LesBigBoss event, Siècle Digital was also able to meet Luca Gerini, Managing Director of Interflora Spain, Portugal and Italy. The opportunity to produce a new episode of Digital Culture, around his career, but also his favorite theme: digital transformation.
How to bring in the best possible way a digital transformation in a large group, but also in smaller companies, such as an SME?
Rémi Poirson, Digital and Marketing Director at Habitat
Digital, and by extension e-commerce, therefore seems unavoidable today for any company, the pandemic having accelerated the trend. Some made the transition in the early 2010s, such as the furniture company Habitat. For Rémi Poirson, Digital and Marketing Director at Habitat, e-commerce is both essential for a company and for consumers. Online commerce and more generally digital would be complements to physical stores, which according to him remain very useful:
Luce Bruneri, Director of Digital Transformation at Class’Croute
In the spans of this event was also Luce Brunerie, Director of Digital Transformation at Class’Croute. If the well-known catering brand was represented at the Summer Edition of LesBigBoss, it is because it is becoming more and more digital, but progress remains to be made.
Like many other companies in its sector, Class’Croute has had to innovate to cope with recent health restrictions. An innovation that involves new technological tools, such as a connected fridge, but also digital:
Florent Guibert, Brand and Media Director at CDiscount
Some companies, although pioneers in the past, have not yet taken the step of Web3. This is the case of CDiscount, notably represented at LesBigBoss Summer Edition 2022 by Florent Guibert, Brand and Media Director. Precursor of e-commerce, the French company has not yet really invested in Web3. A matter of time and caution for Florent Guibert, who does not, however, rule out future innovations in the field:
Edouard Ducray, co-founder of Adrenalead
Pillars of Web2, third-party cookies will soon disappear. Repeatedly postponed, their extinction is scheduled for 2023, signing the death of a model at the same time. This change therefore forces a large number of companies to find alternatives. Among these alternatives, there is the little-known but no less effective Web Push Notification.
Edouard Ducray, co-founder of Adrenalead, a company specializing in Web Push Notification, explained to Siècle Digital the many advantages of this system. So what exactly is Web Push Notification and is it really a silver bullet?
