“Excuse me, I’m still looking for someone who has to blow me under the stage,” said Sido on stage at “Campus Spring Break” in Bochum (June 8th). The fans in the audience laugh, one shouts: “Rammstein! My heart is burning!” Sido lets his words resonate, then he starts his song “Carmen”.
Sido is criticized for his misogynist joke on social media. One writes: “Sido put a huge damper on his actually likeable appearance. I saw the concert and was very positively surprised at how ‘grown up’ he has become and largely avoided old problematic songs, but he really should have saved himself that.”
But the rapper isn’t the first artist to hit the drums in recent days with misogynistic jokes that allude to current reports. At a recent concert in Luxembourg, Die Ärzte joked about knockout drops and what they can do to you.
