You can find out here why Sido is now selling medicinal cannabis and wants to talk to Germany about it.
Sido now sells medicinal cannabis. Paul Würdig, as the rapper’s real name is, together with a German pharmaceutical company, has the “KEjF. GmbH” brought to life. With his new line of work, the 42-year-old would like to work for a “service-oriented and individual care of patients with medical cannabis”, according to the press statement. “KEjF.” (pronounced “kiːf”) would like to sell various craft cannabis flowers as well as “full-spectrum cannabis-based extracts” in Germany as an “independent pharmaceutical company”.
Sido: “Everyone has an opinion on cannabis”
The launch of the new brand is also intended to take up the Germany-wide discourse on the subject of cannabis, with specific consideration being given to addiction prevention and active youth protection. “Everyone has an opinion about cannabis, but few speak it. I want to break this silence,” explains Sido in his press release. It is very important to him to also talk about stigmata in order to break down prejudices against cannabis. “We want with KEjF. move something. We want to clarify. And that works best if we pick people up where they are – with their experiences, fears, but also prejudices.”
Musically, Sido last reported with the record PAUL, which was released in December 2022 and was at the top of the German charts for 24 weeks. ME author Julia Lorenz wrote about the album: “The ex-aggro Berliner is now doing therapy group rap” and gave the work three and a half out of six stars. Read the review here.
