The La Liga match between FC Barcelona and Cadiz took a shocking turn on Saturday, when the match was stopped due to an illness in the stands.
There were only ten minutes left in the match when one of the fans had a heart attack. The rescue work was started quickly, and the players of the teams also did their part.
Home team Cadiz goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma ran towards the scene with a defibrillator in hand. Substitute for the team Jose Maria helped by rushing the stretcher to the spot.
Relieving news was reported about the fan sent to the hospital after the match. His condition is stable.
The match was suspended for more than 50 minutes. In the end, it was possible to continue it. Barcelona won 4–0. Two of the goals came after an illness.
