Telstar booked a deserved 1-0 victory against FC Den Bosch today. Trainer Mike Snoei, like many of his players, was affected by the flu, but the three points did him a lot of good. “We fought for it.”
At Telstar there was a leading role for Anwar Bensabouh. The midfielder wore the captain’s armband as Glynor Plet was unable to start from the first whistle due to the flu. Bensabouh was also one of the most dangerous people on Telstar’s side. The 23-year-old from Amsterdam hit the aluminum twice. Fortunately, Tom Overtoom was in the right place at the second bet to score the liberating 1-0.
Schedule
Telstar did not play an official game for almost four weeks because of the World Cup in Qatar. After the game against Den Bosch, MVV will follow next Friday and then Mike Snoei’s team will not have a game for three weeks. “It’s difficult,” said Snoei about the crazy situation. “But these are two finals. I tried to make this clear to them and then the players themselves see that there is quite a bit to be achieved.”
