After two victories at the end of the first half of the season, Bundesliga soccer team Arminia Bielefeld draws new courage in the fight to stay up.
“We have shown that we can do it. We have to continue on this path,” said coach Frank Kramer. Thanks to the two 2-0 successes over Bochum and Leipzig, the penultimate was able to shorten the gap to relegation rank 16 to one point before the short winter break.
The 49-year-old coach described the performance in the first half of the season as “often decent” and referred to the defensive with an acceptable 22 goals conceded. Only four Bundesliga clubs received fewer hits. But he sees a lot of catching up to do in the game ahead: “We have to be more effective on the offensive.”
