Shots fired in Bangkok shopping center

An unknown gunman injured at least three people in a popular shopping center in the Thai capital Bangkok, according to media reports. At least one victim was hit from behind, Thai broadcaster Thai PBS reported on Tuesday. Two other injured people were also taken to a hospital. Several shots were fired. Visitors to the Siam Paragon Shopping Mall were asked to take cover.

Security camera images showed a man with a gun in his hand. The shopping center, which is also popular among foreign tourists and contains, among other things, luxury shops, has been closed. The exit leading to the shopping center at the nearby train station was also cordoned off, it said. (dpa)
