Shots fired at victory parade in Kansas City

There were shots fired after the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade. Several people are said to be injured – there have been arrests.

The parade by the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs was marred by gunfire. “Shots were fired west of Union Station near the parking garage and several people were hit,” the Kansas City police wrote shortly after 2 p.m. (local time) on X: “We have taken two armed individuals into custody for further investigation. ” One person was killed, the police reported. Twenty-two people were injured by gunfire, fire chief Ross Grundyson said at a press conference late in the afternoon. Fifteen of the injured suffered life-threatening wounds. Among the injured, three are said to be in critical condition and five others in serious condition.
