Two teenagers (16, 17) and a 22-year-old attacked and robbed a man (59) in Friedrichshain on Saturday evening. She threatened her victim with a handgun and shot in the air.
At around 10:20 p.m., a 59-year-old ran through the Volkspark Friedrichshain on his way home. The trio is said to have followed him first, then approached him. One of the youths is said to have pulled out a firearm and demanded that valuables be handed over.
To substantiate their demands, a second perpetrator is said to have pulled out another gun and fired it in the air. The victim gave up his wallet and the trio fled with the loot.
Alarmed police officers searched the area and discovered the suspects at the junction with Danziger Straße and Margarete-Sommer-Straße and arrested them. The officers discovered firearms in the 16- and 22-year-olds, and the 17-year-old had a knife with him.
The teenagers were handed over to their legal guardians, and the 22-year-old was taken into police custody. He should be brought before a judge.
The 59-year-old victim was unharmed in the robbery.
