Shorts or skirts out of the closet: the first bare legs day in Zoetermeer is coming

We have been able to enjoy the sun for a number of days, but don’t worry: now there is also a pleasant temperature involved. We had to go into the sun with a thick scarf with our snouts in the past few days, that is no longer necessary in the coming days.

Locally it can be about 17 degrees on Thursday and Friday, reports Weatheronline† In Zoetermeer it will be 15 degrees. And that while the past few days were the coldest days of 2022 so far. On the Veluwe it became -7 and just above the ground even -10. That seems to be a thing of the past for now.

First official spring day

With these temperatures there is a good chance in De Bilt to note the first official spring day of the year. For that, the mercury has to rise to 15 degrees or more. It was also very mild in our country at the turn of the year. In Maastricht it was already 15.1 degrees on New Year’s Day. At the national main station in De Bilt it was then 13.2 degrees. So it was secretly spring in Maastricht on the first day of this year.
