Shorter waiting list for candidate adoptive parents

The backlog in social studies for adoption has become smaller. The new Social Research Service (DMO) has been able to reduce the backlog from 126 to 94 files in eight months. This is evident from figures that Flemish MP Katrien Schryvers (CD&V) has requested. She calls the shortening of the waiting list good news for the candidate adoptive parents. “Each link in the procedure that we shorten means less waiting,” says Schryvers.
