The shortage of medicines in the Netherlands was greater than ever last year, reports the pharmacy organization KNMP. According to the organization, around five million medicine users will have suffered the consequences of this in 2023. Although it was already clear during the year that shortages were increasing, chairman Aris Prins calls it ‘numbers that scare you’.
