Short track players start the World Cup in Seoul flawlessly, Sjinkie Knegt to semi-finals 1500 meters | Sport

The short trackers made it through the first day of the World Cup in Seoul without damage on the individual distances. Suzanne Schulting and her teammates all qualified in the capital of South Korea for the next rounds that will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Only Jens van ‘t Wout qualified at all distances in the short trackers. Sjinkie Knegt reached the semi-finals on the 1500 meters, but was referred to the repechages on the 1000 meters.

Friso Emons and Teun Boer go to the rematches on the 1500 and 500 meters respectively. Itzhak de Laat was penalized in the 1000 meters after a major fall and was eliminated at this distance.

Suzanne Schulting and Selma Poutsma are further in the tournament at all three distances. Xandra Velzeboer on the 500 and 1000 meters. Michelle Velzeboer qualified for the semi-finals in the 1500 meters.
