Emergency services started a search for a girl in Assen this morning. She had been lost and there were fears that the baby had fallen into the water.
After the first report, the fire brigade and police rushed towards the Alexander Dubcekweg in the Marsdijk district. A diving team from the fire brigade searched the water, but not much later the girl was found again. The suspicion that she had ended up in the water turned out to be incorrect.
As a precaution, an air ambulance was called in, which hovered over Marsdijk for a while. After the girl was found, the plane was able to turn around.
