“Going to the hospital for treatment or admission can be a frightening idea for children,” says Dr. Kate Sauer, chief of pediatrics. “With this short film we want to prepare children at their level and thus remove their fear. We want to show them where they are going, who they are meeting and how everything works. And no one better than a child can tell you what a hospital experience is like.”
The intention is to deliver these videos to parents and children in advance by email to immerse them in the wonderful world of Rikki and reduce their fears about what is to come.
