After the shooting at the Super Bowl victory celebration in Kansas City, two of the suspected shooters were charged with manslaughter on Tuesday.
This was announced by the prosecution authorities. The two Kansas City men also face charges of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker told reporters.
There was a shooting at the traditional parade of the Super Bowl winner on Wednesday last week. One person was killed.
22 other people, including several children, were injured. According to Peters Baker, the reason for the shooting was a verbal argument between several people that “escalated very quickly.” After the shots, panic broke out among the numerous fans.
Two young people had already been charged in family court on Friday evening “for possession of firearms and resisting arrest”. It is “expected that further charges will follow as the police investigation continues,” the statement said on Friday.
No further information was released to protect the young defendants.
