Two people were injured in a shooting at Purmerend train station this evening. One of them is seriously injured. The perpetrator is still on the run.
The first report of the shooting incident was made at 8:05 p.m. Several emergency services, including an air ambulance, were deployed to the victims. The police are looking for the perpetrator.
Due to the shooting incident, no Sprinters will drive between Zaandam and Purmerend Overwhere. The NS expects this to last until 9:30 PM.
