In addition to leading German brands, numerous agencies with international collections – including those from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Scandinavia – are showing their colors in Düsseldorf. “Many well-known brands are convinced of the success of the trade fair and have found their way back to Düsseldorf. We are very happy about that and so we are de facto fully booked in the space available to us,” emphasizes UIrike Kähler, Managing Director Igedo Company. In addition, SHOES DÜSSELDORF is coming up with a number of exciting newcomers for the coming edition. In addition to fashion, the focus is on topics such as function and sustainability.

“Consumers are concerned with topics that reflect the spirit of the times, such as sustainability, well-being and vegans. These products are also increasingly sought after for shoes and accessories. We are very happy that we were able to win some very interesting companies with strong collections from this area. These are great products that could also create more excitement on the retail floor,” explains Ulrike Kähler. When structuring the halls, SHOES DÜSSELDORF ensures quick orientation. “We do everything we can to create a pleasant, safe and clear working atmosphere for exhibitors and buyers. The press conference of the Federal Association of the Shoe and Leather Goods Industry HDS/L provides the industry with current figures and statistics relating to the business with shoes and accessories. The presentation of the HDS/L Junior Awards 2022, which will take place immediately afterwards, has the motto “Go for Glamour! Create a breathtaking party shoe!”

A real highlight is the SNEAKERS & SPEAKERS premiere.

SNEAKERS & SPEAKERS is a networking and information event for decision-makers and designers in the sneaker industry and offers guests a stage who have given the industry new impetus through their outstanding personality and work. The panel, made up of top-class sneaker nobility, will be moderated by MTV legend and sneakerhead Patrice Bouédibéla. Amongst others, the founder and owner of the sneaker resell platform VADITIM, Stepan Timoshin.
