Shoe retailer Lloyd appoints Godo Kraemer as Head of Brand Management

Sulingen-based Lloyd Shoes GmbH has appointed marketing expert Godo Kraemer as Head of Brand Management. With the appointment, “the restructuring of the organization in the areas of marketing and product is complete,” the company announced on Monday. In the past two years, the shoe supplier had already appointed new product managers for the areas of women’s and men’s shoes.

Kraemer has a long career in fashion and retail. Among other things, he worked as Head of Communications at Hugo Boss and headed the marketing departments of Escada, Douglas and S.Oliver. “Most recently, he and partners founded two successful start-ups based in the Bavarian capital,” said his new employer.

Andreas Schaller, spokesman for the management of Lloyd, described the newcomer as an “experienced strategist” and described his future area of ​​responsibility: “We are very pleased to have won Mr. Kraemer for us. We will work intensively with him on the implementation of the strategy adopted last year,” he said in a statement. “We see it as an important goal to further promote the attractiveness of the brand, to modernize the perception of our men’s segment and to increase the awareness of our women’s shoes.” In view of the “increasing concentration of brand orientation on D2C”, it is now “important to have modern and ensure targeted measures and use the right communication channels,” says Schaller.
