Clooney and Perry rose to global stardom for their roles in the 90s hit series.
Acting legend George Clooney has revealed an American In an interview with Deadline magazinethat he did not know the deceased Friendsstar of the series about Matthew Perry’s drug addiction.
Clooney told the magazine, among other things, about the Hollywood actors’ strike, his latest film and recalled years ago Intensive care unitseries that shot Clooney to stardom in the 90s.
The Intensive Care Unit and Frendit, which appeared around the same time, were produced by the same production company and television channel, which is why Clooney got to know Perry personally.
– Friends was fun to watch, Clooney recalled.
– We were all really close, he described the actors’ relationship with each other.

Perry’s Addiction
Clooney said he met Perry when she was 16 years old.
– We played padel together. Matt was about 10 years younger than me. He was a great, funny, funny, funny boy, Clooney describes.
According to Clooney, Perry dreamed of becoming an actor in a comedy series when he was younger. Perry felt that acting in the sitcom would make him “the happiest man in the world”.
– And he got into probably one of the best (series) of all time, Clooney said, adding that the career of a comedy actor did not make Perry happy.
– It did not bring him joy, happiness or peace. It was hard to watch, Clooney lamented.

Clooney said Perry’s struggle with serious drug addiction came as a surprise to many.
– We didn’t know what Matt was going through. We just knew he wasn’t happy and I didn’t know he ate 12 [opioidipilleriä] per day.
According to Clooney, Perry’s story serves as a reminder that success does not make a person happy.
– It says that success and money are not [––] automatically brings happiness. You have to be satisfied with yourself and your life, he said.
