World-famous Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal said goodbye to the Paris Masters tournament in the second round.
The 36-year-old Spanish tennis player, who participated in the Professional Tennis Association (ATP) 1000 tournament held in Paris, the capital of France, after his injury passed, faced the world number 31 American Tommy Paul in the men’s singles second round match.
After the struggle that lasted for 2 hours and 32 minutes, Paul beat his world number 2 opponent 2-1 with 3-6, 7-6 and 6-1 sets and went to the third round and got a big surprise.
Nadal, who has not been able to reach the trophy in this tournament so far, lost the possibility of completing the season at the top.
Australian Alex de Minaur, who is in the 25th place of the world rankings, had another surprise by defeating world number 3 Russian Daniil Medvedev 2-1 (6-4, 2-6, 7-5) in the second round.
