Famous actor Erkan Petekkaya made a confession-filled statement about himself. Describing the process of deciding to study acting, Erkan Petekkaya said that they said ‘nothing will happen without digging’.
Famous actor Erkan Petekkaya, who is currently on the agenda with his role as Young Sadi in the Red Room series, was a guest on the One on One program with Fatih Altaylı, broadcast on Bloomberg HT. Talking about the process of starting his acting career here, Petekkaya made the following confession-filled statement:
I studied theatre. I had zero talent, I wanted to be an ambassador. One day, I saw a girl at the bus stop in Altınyol, Kadıköy. He got on the 16 Pendik bus, I had only one ticket, and I followed him. We met. He was doing theater and he invited me to rehearsal. I started to go. One day a player did not come. He asked me, ‘Can you read this?’ they said. I went on stage. Something happened inside of me. ‘I don’t want to be an ambassador, I will be an actor.’ I said.
I was 17 years old. Theater did not have a T in my life until that day. I learned a lesson, ‘Nothing will happen without this digging.’ they said. I took the conservatory exam in Eskişehir to stay away from family and be free, and I won. Luck helped, too, but I worked hard too.”
