Shimon Peres-The Nobel who did not stop dreaming

★★★★ Let’s leave aside any strictly cinematographic question: this film is not characterized by its capacity for invention and that, instead of being a defect, is an advantage. What matters is the portrait of the man and, above all, his ideas placed in the corresponding context. In this sense, the appearance of film documents that allow us to see what the State of Israel was like since its foundation, how it grew, what conflicts -external and internal- it had to resolve and in what sense Peres had an enormous influence on achieve peace and consensus. The different interviews and the voice of the Nobel Prize cover all kinds of topics inserted in the historical development. The documentary, then, does what any good sample of the genre should do: it allows us to understand (and only then, admire) the object of his gaze.
