Wendy van Dijk is pretty slammed by Tim den Besten. The NPO star explicitly mentions the Hart in Aktie presenter when he is asked about ‘fake people’ in the media world.
Tim den Besten says he absolutely cannot stand people who play a role. You see that a lot is happening in Hilversum, he explains in the guest lecture Featured† One of the people in the audience then asks him if that doesn’t really annoy him while working for television.

The lady from the audience to Tim: “You just said that you can’t handle fake people quite well, but in the media world not everyone is completely themselves. How do you feel about having to work with such people a lot? Aren’t you completely annoyed?”
Tim then: “No, but that’s not… Look, I’m in a kind… The VPRO isn’t ‘the media’. I’m in public broadcasting anyway and I think that’s different there. So when I think of ‘fake media world’ I think of Nikkie Plessen or Yolanthe or Wendy van Dijk, but I never see them. I do not know that one.”
‘Fakeness? Ugh!’
There are no fake people like Wendy at the VPRO, explains Tim. “I just like the corner I’m in… Those are really nice, normal people who aren’t fake. Yes, no, I understand the question, but that’s not how I experience it at all.”
Tim even made a hate film about Yolanthe. “I really just hated her. I thought she was so stupid. I’m not very good at fakery. Nikkie Plessen, Mark Rutte or the king? ugh! It’s all stage. Show something of yourself, be vulnerable. Show something of a human!”
