“She’s going to pull out her wallet anyway”

Roxeanne Hazes is quite annoyed by the way in which Rachel exploits her father André’s legacy, including bath slippers at Lidl. Especially since Rachel does not appear to be his real heir due to a clause in André’s will. Is Roxeanne going to fight this out in legal proceedings?

Hazes settlement

Nothing has been announced so far and that is significant according to Evert Santegoeds. He says in the podcast Strictly Private: “No, it is very quiet. And that’s because mills turn slowly, but also because I also have the idea that a settlement is being worked on behind the scenes.”

He continues: “That we will not see it again in court, but that the consequences of that lawsuit and that provision in André’s will will ensure that the parties will come to the table after all.”

No confirmation

Evert can’t say that with certainty. “I’m not sure, I don’t get confirmation of that and that says enough. I think there are conversations going on and then all of a sudden it comes out that it’s settled. Then there will be payment from one party to the other.”

Would a settlement also end the mother-daughter feud? “That will not have improved. Knowing Rachel, it’s not: draw a line under it and we’ll happily continue. I think that relationship is clouded for a long time, if not for the rest of their lives.”
