Sophie Hilbrand retains her top salary at BNNVARA, even now that she has been removed from the talk show Bar because of dramatic viewing figures. “I suspect that she will first take a sabbatical now.”
As a NPO presenter you don’t necessarily have to work to get a top salary: even if you don’t have a program, your salary will just maintain. Sophie Hilbrand has now been removed from the Talkshow Bar because of dramatic viewing figures and has no other program for the time being. Nevertheless, she doesn’t have to worry about her finances.
246 thousand euros
Although Sophie has delivered a breach of contract and goes on the reserve bench, she will probably continue to take the WNT maxim of 246 thousand euros per year. “Does Sophie keep her salary at BNNVARA? Yes, I think so,” says TV authority Tina Nijkamp in her podcast Tina’s TV UPDATE.
That’s how it works in Hilversum. “It is not because she is taken from that talk show that she suddenly has to halve her salary. Of course she did not work full -time. She only did it twice a week. She worked two days a week. Well, she has to keep the news a bit for the rest of the days, but she will now continue to do that.”
On Sabbatical
For the time being, Sophie will not do anything for her salary for months, Tina expects. “What she is going to do is the next question. What will Sophie do? Yes, I first suspect that she is going to take a sabbatical or something from a few months, and that she will then be going to deposit on documentaries about the climate. I actually think so.”
“And that they will be seen on NPO Start or NPO 3. I think she will do that, that she is going to be very concerned with the climate. That is really one of the big themes in her life, I think. And yes, that fits in with Bnnvara. So well, I think she’s going to do that.”
