Shein opens European headquarters in Dublin and plans 30 pop-ups in 2023

Shein has opened a Europe, Africa and Middle East (EMEA) office in Dublin, Ireland. The new office will house the strategic IT hub for the Bis EMEA region and act as the heart of the company in that region, the fast fashion giant announced on Monday.

Up to 30 jobs in data analysis, security engineering, financial management and legal services are to be created in Dublin by the end of the year. In addition, the support program for university graduates is to be extended to Ireland.

A year earlier, the company had already strengthened its presence in the region by opening three distribution centers in the EMEA region. This is part of its efforts to strengthen its nearshoring capabilities to reduce delivery times.

30 pop-ups in 2023

Shein’s focus on the EMEA region is also underlined by the 30 pop-ups planned later this year. According to the announcement, the temporary retail space is an integral part of the fast fashion retailer’s business model. This should give customers the opportunity to get to know Shein products up close. Most recently, the company held pop-ups in cities like Amsterdam and Berlin.

In 2022, the company strengthened its presence in the region, primarily by opening three new distribution centers in the EMEA region. This is part of its efforts to strengthen its nearshoring capabilities to reduce delivery times.
