‘She talks very badly about me’

It is starting to look more and more like Rachel Hazes sees her very own daughter Roxeanne Hazes as a kind of arch enemy. “I actually think it’s a bit disrespectful.”

Rachel Hazes does not seem to be able to accept the fact that Roxeanne Hazes has denounced that she may be wrongly managing André Hazes’ estate. It was reportedly the last straw for Rox when Rachel appeared on television with all kinds of Hazes merchandise such as bath slippers and kites. She wants to take the inheritance away from her.

Rachel goes wild

Rachel was divorced from him when André died and his inheritance states that she can no longer claim the inheritance. But why has Rachel been behind the Hazes cash register for years?

One thing is certain: this conflict will never work out between mother and daughter. Rachel also starts to speak out more and more fiercely about Rox. Last week she made a very ugly joke about Rox on national television. It seems that Rachel now sees her daughter as some kind of devil, an arch enemy.

Disrespectful

Rachel was recently at one of her other trials and wants Roxeanne to be heard there, but she refuses. “I find that very special. Actually, I also find it a bit disrespectful. Not only to me, but also to the judge,” she says in the Party. “I can only say what I would have done in her case: I would have been there.”

It’s very strange behavior, Rachel thinks. “It is now easily dismissed because a statement was read from Rox. Apparently they had difficulty coming themselves. But she had no problem saying very nasty things about her father and me at Best Singers. In my opinion that is not right.”

Difficult youth

In that program, Roxeanne talked about her obviously difficult childhood. “There were quite a few claims she made there. That we brought Roxie to nudists to babysit her. That she sang her father’s repertoire while crying for ten years. That I neglected my child for nine months after the death of her father.”

She continues: “While everyone around us knows that I was just polite with my children. Of course I had to work really hard after André’s death, but there’s nothing wrong with a working mother, right? When my children came home from school, they were always at my place. There was a kind of living room there and they just cooked there.”

TV and Playstation

Those children lacked nothing, according to Rachel. “There was a TV there and they could use the Playstation and the computer. So it was definitely not the case that I left them to their fate. Or that I was going out every week or always coming home with a different man. I thought it was quite something that she made those statements publicly.”

She concludes: “I have received quite a few messages to the effect: what kind of mother are you? Who abandons her child? I found that all quite intense. I tried to qualify it by stating that children at that age have a rich imagination and experience some things differently from reality.”

“But now I think: why do I always have to put on the sackcloth?”
