‘She looks just like Shownieuws!’

Eva Jinek gets a slap on the ear for the umpteenth time from her least favorite TV colleagues, namely the men of Today Inside. “I’m not watching Shownieuws or Boulevard, am I?”

The Tuesday episode of Jinek has caused some annoyance among the men of Today Inside. They not only find it disappointing that André van Duin did not want to say anything substantive about his blackmail case, but also criticize the questions that Eva Jinek asked fellow guest Steven van Brunswijk. She asked him about his much-discussed kissing video.

‘It’s crazy’

René van der Gijp found the interview with André very boring. “I think: he will tell what happened. And then he said, “I’d rather tell you next week.” Then I thought: then you better be there next week. Now he was talking about his program that he is in the back of the car with Youp van ‘t Hek, but I don’t find that all that interesting.”

Colleague Wilfred Genee adds in Today Inside: “It’s crazy. She recently had André Hazes Jr., there is a lawsuit and nothing is asked about it. And now André van Duin comes, there is a lawsuit and then he cannot say anything about it.”

This is Show News!

Johan Derksen believes that Eva is failing. “Journalism was of course very bad. Then I also saw that Braboneger was there and she had kissed another woman, a film was made of that and even Braboneger’s wife was in the room and she was questioned by Jinek about that. Then I think: I’m not watching Shownieuws or Boulevard, am I?

René: “No, but Brabonegertje’s wife allows him to kiss and also f*ck and stuff.”

Johan: “Then she asks, because that’s nice in a talk show like that. She brought it up for effect.”

K*tprogram

Wilfred thinks that Eva is not doing well. He especially thinks the interview with André is a miss. “As a Jinek, I wouldn’t want anyone to come by either. Then I would also think: if I can’t even ask about it, what are we doing here? Then you have to talk about a shit show.”

Johan: “If he doesn’t want to talk about it, then you shouldn’t accept him as a guest.”

Wilfred: “No, then you shouldn’t take it. It is better not to invite people if you cannot tell them anything.”

Problem

Raymond Mens, the American connoisseur of HLF8 and Today Inside, agrees with the gentlemen. “The problem with both André van Duin and André Hazes is that they are invited to promote something, namely a program or documentary, and then something current plays, and they do not want to talk about it.”

“But of course it should be the other way around,” he concludes.
