This year, Miss Tampere will be chosen for the 10th time. Ten beauties from Pirkanmaa are aiming for victory.
The conditions for the Miss Tampere competition include being of legal age and being ready to commit to the duties of Miss Tampere. The participant must be a Finnish citizen of good repute. Height or age doesn’t matter. Tattoos and children are allowed.
Iltalehti readers were able to vote for their favorite pageant candidates. There were a total of 3020 votes.
The winner was an 18-year-old Aurora Salonenwhich garnered 21 percent of the vote.
Placed second in the competition Emilia Rajala, 28, who received 18 percent of the votes cast. The 21-year-old took third place Rosa Tuominen with 16 percent of the vote.
Iltalehti caught up with Aurora Salonen to comment on the earnings news.
– Great! These are the first competitions for me, so it feels good when the public likes it, Salonen states right at the beginning.

The Miss candidate says that she practiced a lot walking and speaking in front of the camera. If the entire competition wins, Aurora wants to work for the benefit of all the people of Tampere.
– I would like to improve the status of children and young people, so that so many would not be bullied at school.
The topic is quite important, because Aurora says that she herself experienced bullying at school when she was younger.
– As I get older, I’ve come to think that it doesn’t matter what others think of you. A person should do the things he likes, he states.
