Jennifer Walters is a slender 30-year-old single lawyer; she could be the ideal protagonist of a sequel to Ally McBealinstead is the star of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the series that from 18 August on Disney + adapts the adventures of the skirted version of the mammoth superhero Hulk.
She-Hulk is the latest in a handful of Marvel comic book heroines – such as Black Widow, Scarlet Witch and Ms Marvelto be chosen to become the protagonist of a production of the so-called Marvel Cinematic Universe (the audiovisual section of Marvel Comics) for the big or small screen.

Be a lawyer with solid principles e aspire to a successful career sono Jennifer’s goals. Her professional life is extremely promising – in the face of the basically barren sentimental one – until a hoped-for workplace breakthrough vanishes in a bizarre accident.
There Walters, in fact, is accidentally infected by Bruce Banner, whose blood transforms her into the skirt version of the Hulk with disastrous results for her future as a lawyer. Jennifer has an opportunity to become one champion of justice as a superheroine, but she chose her path: she is not at all attracted by the visibility and clamor of the life from Avengerhe just wants to continue to defend the weakest from the courtroom.
Forced to compromise, the lawyer accepts a position as superhuman case manager at a large firm. She is the beginning of a complicated coexistence between her and She-Hulk.
Who is She-Hulk
From the trailer it is clear that the fate of the massive superheroine does not coincide with that of his cousin Bruce, the scientist who when he loses his patience turns into a very strong green man and unable to control himself.
To explain the reason is the protagonist herself: women live daily with the feelings of fear and angerbecause of this Jennifer is able to dominate herself and then manage the transformation into She-Hulk at will without incurring the fury that has plagued Banner for years.

There are other substantial suspicions: when the reserved and anonymous lawyer changes, she becomes more attractive, charismatic and uninhibitedso much so that his alter ego collects numerous suitors and is hugely popular on dating apps. The women of the series
From the protagonist to the main antagonist (the villain Titania), from the creator of the show (the producer Jessica Gao) to director Kat Coiro, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law it is a largely feminine project. In She: Hulk – Attorney at Law cameos of recognizable superheroes such as Abomination and Daredevil will abound interpreted by British actors Tim Roth and Charlie Cox or the aforementioned Hulk with the features of Mark Ruffalo, but the story is mainly that of three women with opposite personalities.
On the one hand, the eponymous heroine, a slender lawyer of just over sixty meters who occasionally takes on the appearance of a two-meter bodybuilder with a green complexion. Both are sincere, loyal and with strong values, both are embodied by Tatiana Maslany, who also plays She-Hulk with the help of the motion capture technique.
His nemesis is a bold-looking social influencer, Titania (plays Jameela Jamil), also endowed with superhuman strength, but self-centered and very envious. Jenifer’s best friend is instead, Nikki Ramos, who seems to have a personality very similar to that of the actress whose features she has, Ginger Gonzaga. The latter is sincere, funny and practically the contemporary version of the coarse and hilarious Francesca Cacace of The nanny.
A wink to the fans
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law distances itself, at least in intentions, from other Marvel series with darker tones: here the comedy component clearly prevailsreinforced by the protagonist’s habit of addressing the room directly to converse with the viewer.
Jennifer spent the last ten years of her existence as one of them, until contact with the mutated blood of Banner’s cousin catapulted her to the other side of the fence, that of superheroes. These are the real celebrities of an alternative version of our world where the most followed idols are not Hollywood stars and social media personalities but superhumans. Recently one of them, Jennifer bridges these two realitieswith bizarre results.

By showing that Marvel’s bosses are very attentive to fan discussions regarding characters from its stables scattered across the Net, the show shows that Jennifer’s cell phone wallpaper is a close-up of Captain America’s shapely butt, explicitly alluding to social trends. In fact, Chris Evans’ butt becomes trending on Twitter, in reality, every time a new chapter of the Avengers comes out.
Not only that, as in the American forums frequented by the most avid Avenger followers, Walters is also obsessed with every aspect of superhero life, especially that of the most handsome of the Avengers. So much so that for an entire episode he asks his cousin Bruce if he thinks Captain America had time to lose his virginity, between one war and another to save America. Smart and career, even Jen has time for a few moments of lightness.
