In the first ten months of 2022, Flanders exported 547 million kilograms of pork. That is 80 million kilograms or 13 percent less than in the same period the year before. This is evident from the answer of Flemish Minister of Agriculture Jo Brouns (CD&V) to questions from Flemish Member of Parliament Stefaan Sintobin (Vlaams Belang). In the past ten years, more than a thousand Flemish farms with pigs have also disappeared, a decrease of 26 percent.
