Galatasaray released a video containing the images and words of the Argentine star striker Mauro Icardi, who was transferred from the French giant PSG, on the first day he arrived in Istanbul.
Here are Icardi’s statements in the video:
“To be wanted by a team like Galatasaray after a difficult year in Paris… The same in Europe, which has always been clearly successful in Turkey. They’ve been calling since this year and offered me the chance to play again and play successfully. it was very important to me.
I hope we reach our championship goal this year and return to Europe again. I think this will be the best for the whole city, the whole country and the fans and the team.
Kids have been a football fan since they were little. My wife and I came to Turkey once and they bought a Galatasaray jersey here. I can say that fate wanted us to meet with Galatasaray.
This is a period of change. It’s a time when many new players come in. We will try to be a good team in harmony and we will do our best for the success of the team.”
