Shari Bossuyt just misses the medal in elimination in Canada
In a competition with 24 participants, the 22-year-old West Flemish woman from Kortrijk was eliminated in the penultimate elimination. The victory went to the Norwegian Anita Yvonne Stenberg, who beat the American Jennifer Valente in the final sprint. On Saturday, Bossuyt and Lotte Kopecky will compete in the madison in Milton. On Friday, two Belgian teams also came into action on the Milton track. In the men’s team pursuit, the Belgians failed to qualify for the finals in the first round. Belgium finished sixth of twelve participating countries with a time of 3:53.787. The victory was for the British with a time of 3:51.310. In the women’s team sprint, the Belgians finished sixth and penultimate. The Nations Cup track cycling in Milton will continue until Sunday. A total of ten Belgians will be at the start.
