“We consciously opt for shared mobility, shared scooters are an important part of this,” says Alderman for Mobility Patrick De Klerck. The number of journeys completed increased by a third last year, to just under 32,000. Almost half of those journeys took place during the summer holidays.
Users also drive slightly longer journeys than the year before, now an average of 2.2 kilometers. All in all, 71,000 kilometers were ridden on shared scooters in Blankenberge last year.
