SG Flensburg-Handewitt celebrates goal festival against VfL Gummersbach

SG Flensburg-Handewitt kept in touch with the top of the table in the Handball Bundesliga with an offensive spectacle.

The 2019 German champions beat midfield team VfL Gummersbach 42:32 (23:13) away and celebrated their sixth Bundesliga win in a row. No Bundesliga team had previously broken the 42-goal mark this season.

Flensburg consolidated its fourth place in the table thanks to the success. The SG’s best thrower was Lasse Kjaer Möller with nine goals. His teammates Kay Smits (eight goals) and Lukas Jörgensen (7) also scored at high percentages.

In the first game of the evening, TSV Hannover-Burgdorf achieved a narrow 34:32 (17:14) win over TBV Lemgo Lippe. For Hannover it was their sixth win of the season in their 14th game.
