Youth European Judo Cup, which is included in the 2023 activity program of the European Judo Union, was held in Poznan, Poland. Şeyda Nur Çiçek, the national judoka of Yunusemre Belediyespor, who took part in the competitions, achieved a great success by coming in second in the 78 kg category. Şeyda Nur Çiçek gave an ippon superiority to German in the first round, Azerbaijani in the second round, Polish in the quarter-finals and Dutch Berber Ludema in the semi-finals, lost to Ukrainian Anna Kazakova in the fight for the gold medal and became the owner of the silver medal.
Congratulating Şeyda, Yunusemre Belediyespor Judo Coach Halil Atmaca said that they are happy to have a European degree this year as well. Atmaca said, “We are proud to have won medals for our country in the competitions attended by 417 athletes from 24 countries in Poland.
