Verdict opens door to reviewable permanent prison sentence | The deliberation lasted for about six hours.
In a relatively short deliberation, of about six hours, the popular jury has considered Jose Luis Abet The fountain guilty of the murders in September 2019 from his ex-wife Sandra Boquete, from his sister-in-law dawn and of his ex-mother-in-law María Elena, in what is known as the ‘Valga crime’. Abet ended the lives of the three women by carrying out 15 shots in total with a ‘Ruger’ brand revolver.
The jury has determined that Abet Lafuente, who apologized to the family at the last word in the oral hearing, has also been found guilty of two crimes of psychological injuries to his two minor children by expressly wanting them to witness the crime. He was also found guilty of illegal possession of weapons. The verdict opens the door to a reviewable permanent prison sentence.
