The oppressive heat from Saturday in Berlin and Brandenburg could unload in the evening in thunderstorms and sometimes even storms.
The German Weather Service (DWD) warns for the region: “Individual, sometimes (extreme) severe thunderstorms with heavy rain, gusts of wind and small-grain hail. Thunderstorms mainly in the north on Sunday.”
It will therefore remain cloudy, but thunderstorms in some places with heavy rain between 20 and 40 l/sqm are possible within a short time. Wind gusts of up to 60 km/h and hail threatened. Extreme storms with heavy rain volumes of up to 70 l/sqm are also possible in isolated cases, according to the DWD.
Apart from thunderstorms, on the other hand, only a weak wind blows from different directions.
In the night to Sunday it will be cloudy to slightly cloudy. There may still be isolated showers at the beginning, which will then subside. The lows are 18 to 14 degrees.
From Sunday noon, the DWD expects renewed thunderstorm activity. The focus here should be in the north of Brandenburg.
