Several people were injured in a stabbing on Berliozlaan in Eindhoven on Wednesday evening, the police reported. Four victims were taken to hospital.
The stabbing happened shortly before midnight. According to the first report to the emergency services, it was a huge fight: a group of fifteen people fought with each other.
Victims lay injured and bleeding in the street. It was also littered with broken sticks, knives, a hammer and an axe. There were also telephones.
A car with a German license plate was standing in the street and had been destroyed, several windows had been smashed.
Corner house in the street
Several ambulances were called and four victims were ultimately transferred to hospitals in Eindhoven, Geldrop and Veldhoven. The police have arrested three people for public violence or assault.
All weapons and the car have been seized. The police spoke with residents of a corner house in the street on Wednesday evening. The fight seemed to have taken place around this house and in adjacent streets, a 112 correspondent on the scene reported.
What preceded the fight is being investigated. It is also not clear whether the stabbing took place in a house or whether it happened on the street. The police are investigating.
