Several injured in major accident in Merkem
Several people were injured in the accident. There were no fatalities, confirms Joris Hindryckx, mayor of Houthulst.
It is not the first time that a traffic accident has happened in that location. In February, earlier this year, a motorcyclist was killed after falling under a parked trailer. Also in 2017, a man was killed in the same street. The victim then collided head-on with a truck.
