In an apartment building on Heemstedestraat in Slotervaart, an explosion caused damage to the ground floor and first floor.
The explosion caused a loud bang around 2:30 am. Images show that damage has been caused to several homes, including the windows. Windows on the ground floor were also broken.
According to witnesses, the residents of the flat were evacuated after the explosion. Many of them were then allowed to return to their homes.
Police cordoned off the area around the explosion for investigation.
