KLM cancels a flight that was supposed to leave for Tel Aviv tomorrow evening. The airline reported this this evening. An easyJet flight and two flights from El Al on Sunday will continue for the time being.
The KLM flight that was supposed to go from Schiphol to Tel Aviv on Sunday evening has been cancelled, the airline announced on Saturday. Airline Transavia canceled a flight to Tel Aviv this afternoon. EasyJet canceled a flight that was due to depart in the morning.
An Easyjet flight departing on Sunday morning and two El Al flights scheduled for tomorrow morning and evening are currently on schedule.
All airlines say they are closely monitoring the security situation in Israel. Travelers are advised to continue checking the status of their flights to Israel.
War Israel and Hamas
This morning Hamas launched an attack on Israel. The Palestinian militant organization fired some 2,000 rockets at Israeli targets. Israel carried out airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, home to Hamas, during the day. The death toll in Israel is at least 100. At least 985 injured people are in hospital. At least 198 people are said to have been killed and 2,000 injured in the Gaza Strip.
